5 years ago today, I was having fillet o fish for my lunch. Why would I remember that? How could I still remember that?

5 years ago today, God blessed us with a beautiful girl and we named her Faith. Ever since then life was never the same & that little girl has live up to her name.

Resolutions

I've never been a fan of new year resolutions. Just never understand why must we wait till new year to do it. My new year resolution for past 3 or 4 years was "I'm not going to have new year resolutions". Oxymoron, isn't it?

Anyhow, for this year my target are 3 half marathons & a better family man. 1st part is not that hard, i've done 21km before only not 3 times a year. 2nd part will be the main challenge, it'll be tough but hey, if i can do 21km in less than 3hours, I can do the 2nd part too.

Since Faith has started school, she seems to grow at faster pace & much more interesting to be with. Sometimes, difficult but this is part of the package. So here are some photos of my little girl in the last 2 mths of 2010.Sleeping in her stroller while shopping in IKEA. No, I didn't put on the sunglasses for the photo. She was wearing it and fell asleep, it was a long day for her.

We were hanging out at the carpet section. Seems to have less crowd & cooler at carpet section. Nice spot to wind down.
Here Faith was pretending to walk her dog while sipping her baby drink. Yes, it's part of the vacuum cleaner.

Her dog's name was Rexie. Actually, Rexie is a neighbour's dog. Wonder where she got the idea of using that vacuum part as a dog. But it was really fun to see her walk her dog. Faith even brings it to dinner! But we left it in the car.

Took Faith to Ipoh over the weekend in the new ETS train. She was really excited about the trip & train ride. Comfortable & fast ride to Ipoh.

She enjoyed the stay with her aunt & cousin. Playing big sister to Ian (2 years younger), still have to learn to share toys though.

Anyway, we got home yesterday & she's looking forward to school again. What a wonderful girl! She helped to pack her towels & clothes into her school bag. Even woke me up this morning "wake up papa! Time to go school!" Faith is truly an amazing little girl.

Though not well but still as sweet in front of the camera.

It's long story & I'll cut it real short.
We were suppose to travel back to Ipoh on 31 Dec evening. Faith was feeling warm, so we measured her with a thermometer - a mercury thermometer. We put it under her tongue as usual, but this time she decided to bite it. So, thermometer broke, mercury was out. Faith spitted most of glass pieces & mercury out.

To be sure, we took her to hospital. Took few xray, yes mercury is in her body. So, she got admitted & stayed until 2 Jan 2010.

Faith was an amazing little girl, praise God. Usually, any kids would cry the house down with needles. But Faith is an unusual girl, she actually looked at the nurse as the needle (IV) going into her little hand. Few drops of quiet tears concludes the procedure while I couldn't even stand looking at the IV needle going into her hand. Usually kids would scream & cry when need to take medication but Faith takes them as if medicines are like sweets. We never had any problems with giving her medicines since she was a little baby, thank God.

We needed few days to make sure all mercury is pass out of Faith's body with her poopoo. It was tough as she lost her appetite due to flu & cough. But it was all out when an xray on friday confirms it. Thank God!

So here are her xrays.On 31 Dec 2009, see the little white dots? Those are mercury in Faith's stomach.

2 Jan 2010, mercury traveled to her big intestine.

Falling asleep

Ever seen some of those funny scene where people doze off?

I took Faith out for a bike ride today. She has not have her nap yet, you see. Anyhow, we were enjoying ourselves cycling, just me doing the hard work & she sits like a princess. It was a nice day, cloudy, rained couple hours ago.

After 15mins or so, I asked her what she wanna do next? Faith said " Fast, fast" which actually means asking me to cycle fast. BTW, she is a thrill seeker; always asking fast fast, swing high high... Couple of round of fast rides, Faith fell asleep in her bike seat behind me. It was totally funny yet I'm worried she might fell off even i have strap her in. Thank God she didn't fall off her seat, in fact she was holding on until we reach home, amazing.

Too bad I have no camera. Yes, my phone does not have camera, would you believe it?

Cycling

Installed a child bike seat for my bicycle for some time. It costs abt RM100 - seat + rack. Have been taking Faith for bicycle rides in the evenings & she totally enjoys it! Especially when I cycled together with her older girlfriends. Yes Faith has plenty of older girlfriends, all of them made when she spend time playing in the garden and they adore her.

Was thinking to take Faith along with my cycling trips but it kinda dangerous in Penang to do it. hmmm....

Would be great to get HH a bicycle so she can join us.

Jogging stroller

Yeah!!! We got our jogging stroller! It's InSTEP Safari Jogging Stroller. HH got it while on business in US. So much cheaper than here.

We have been using it for jogging, it's very nice. Faith totaly enjoys the running sessions with us. We are training for a 10K run in Penang Marathon & planning to bring Faith along with us.

Happy Father's day

My 2nd yr of Father's day. It was weird coz I'm suppose to be happy or glad. But i'm feeling something amissed, HH is not around - away for business. We missed her. Yesterday, Faith was asking for her mama. She just looked at me with her big round eyes & said "Mama?", my heart just melts...

She knows mama's not at home & whenever I came home from work to pick her up at the babysitter's, she would cling to me like a koala. I just enjoyed it. I knew in my heart that some where in the future, she would not be that clingy, just like she stopped her nite feeds since 8 or 9 mths old.

Praise God Faith is such wonderful girl. She's been a good girl, taking her meals with me, whatever that i'm having. It could be noodles, fried rice, vege soup, sandwiches, etc... Yes, there were some mess but it's ok, she's learning to feed herself.

Last nite she woke up abt midnite. Woke me up too, told me she wants to poopoo by pointing at the toilet. Yes, she did poopoo. Then she asked for milk & slept.

Some church friends were saying I should be given 'Best Dad' award this year, coz I've been taking care of Faith all by myself for 1 week. I just laugh, thinking that all fathers should have been given 'Best Dad' award.

Redang

We were in Redang few days ago. It was really some trip. We were supposed to fly off on sunday (27th Apr) but flight was cancelled due to safety issue - window of cockpit pop out. We were upset coz this means we would only be in redang for 2d1n instead of 3d2n. Coz according to our tour agent, whole redang is fully booked!

Anyhow we did flew to KT on monday (28) & reach redang safely. We prayed on sunday nite so we will be able to stay 3d2n just as planned. When we checked with the resort ppl, that girl said we should be able to stay for 3d2n! Thank you God!!

BTW, we stayed at Redang Beach Resort (RBR) just next to Laguna Redang. We like it very much, staffs were very friendly & helpful. RBR is quite a nice place, have almost everything you might need ie KTV, internet, better restaurant, burger stall etc...

This was also Faith's 1st plane & ferry ride. She just enjoyed it, probably did not know the difference between them & car ride :P One thing for sure, she did really enjoy being in the water!! She did not like the fine sand at first but after showing her how to play with spades, she finally come to terms with the soft fine sand.

I'm in Dresden now. Spring weather really not nice :( cloudy & raining.... so i'm stuck in hotel room whole day, almost...

Forecast said tomolo it'll be better. I hope too! I wanna see some places in Dresden.

Meanwhile, I'm missing HH & Faith like crazy.... HH called this morning & Faith wanted to talk to me. Said some things to her & she responded! What a great girl! HH said that she has been asking for potty whenever she wants to do big business. PTL!!

So, i think I'll watch Hildago in German. Or CNN again... I've already watch Apollo 13 (German version) twice! Kinda funny to watch those movies & tv programs (CSI, Star Trek) in German.

I'm posting this on behalf of my wife who works in Penang Adventist Hospital. Below is her email.

Dear friends,

I wrote this email two nights ago when I couldn't sleep. I was too excited about a special mission. On May 16-18, I'm planning to climb Mount Kinabalu. This is a hospital project and I'm the organizer. AS an organizer, theoretically I don't have to pay. But every other participants are raising money to climb, so I thought I should not have the special privilege. I'm planning to raise RM10,000 for a child to undergo heart surgery. A surgery costs at least RM25K but if I can contribute half, it's a lot to me.

This is my special mission: To raise RM10K within 30 days or less.

I can't brag about my physical aspect as I have less exercise last few months. But I have a strong determination and faith to reach the peak. So, if you can help me to raise at least 10K, I promise I shall print your face in a banner and I'll put this on the peak of Mount Kinabalu.

What I need is just for each of you to donate RM100. Just RM100. I'm planning to get someone else to match my gift. If I raise RM5K, I'll get someone else to donate RM5K. But first I need at least seed money of RM5K.

Just RM100. This is NOT for me. It's for a child in need of heart surgery. You will get a tax-exempt receipt and reward in heaven :)

I've been waiting for abt 16 years for this moment. Yes, it's abt the political change in Malaysia. At last, Malaysia has a strong opposition in parliament.

Couple of years ago, tsunami hits Penang. Many lost their lives, place to stay. 8th March 2008, another tsunami hits Penang. Thank God no one lost their lives, coz it's a political tsunami. Changes is definately coming to Malaysia & it's starting from Penang .

From today, BN will have to get used to be call as opposition in Penang, Kedah, Perak, Kelantan & Selangor.

Indeed Malaysia's future is so much brighter now than before. I pray this will be a begining of Bangsa Malaysia where colour & religion do not matters,

Faith is teething again. This is her 7th & 8th teeth. No wonder her appetite for food has gone down. And we thought it has something to do with the food we gave her, what a relieved...

1st teething: 4mths, front lower 2
2nd teething: 6mths, front upper 2
3rd teething: 8mths, front upper side 2
4th teething: 10mths+, front lower side 2

She loves chewing on the finger brush whenever we brush her teeth. Yes, we've started to brush her little teeth since the 1st set of teeth.

easy way out

is there really an easy way out? A friend has been complaining abt his workplace for weeks, abt tough boss, bad colleagues, challenging assignment, etc... Should he quit or stay? I would try hard to stay, as the saying goes "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". To me there is no such thing as an easy way out. If he quits, what is the guarantee that he will not face the similar situation in the new company? quit again? be your own boss?

This is life. And life is not always a bed of roses - even roses have thorns!!

Faith is having running nose, little cough & slight fever (2days ago). But she's just like nothing is happening. Keep on bouncing, crawling, waving to strangers, making noises, even playing on her own.

I'm so surprised coz usually when children is sick they are quick fussy & more difficult to manage. I know coz i've watched & helped with my 5 cousins & 1 niece growing up & getting sick.

This girl that God has given us is totally different. Total deviation from what i knew. Even her babysitter is surprised.

Thank you God for such a wonderful girl. Faith is really a great little girl. She has stopped her mid night feed on her own (I think it's HE who helps her).

I was shock to find out that some many of my church members are not registered voter. I don't know how many exactly but definately more than 50 ppl and many of these ppl are above 25, some above 30 and have not even voted ONCE!! Shame on you!! But thank God they have decide to register yesterday. Hopefully they will be able to vote for the coming election - whenever it will be.

Not being a voter is like...
- having a stranger dressing you up and most probably you'll not like the fashion.
- let others feeding you whatever others wanted.
- living a life on remote control, except you are not the one that's holding the control.

Faith is such a good girl. we watch a movie at home & she just rolled/crawl here & there. PTL!! we have not watch a full movie at home for some time. not that we dunwan to watch, we choose not to watch.

Faith has started to take semi solid food. We've given her plain porridge for start, then we tried adding carrots, potatos, pumpkin, spinach, banana milk shake. She loves them!! kept asking for more & she's has no problem at all! PTL!!

So now, she starts to have dinner together with us at the dinner table in her high chair. before this we have dinner & she plays on the floor. It's really fun & exciting to see Faith having dinner with us at the table. There is some messy but it's ok. Will try to take a photo of us having dinner together.

So, after 3hrs & 15mins of running & walking Faith has it around her little neck & hands + mouth. That was not my personal best, in fact it was the slowest time I ever get. But it was the 1st long run in5 years & i'm glad i can finished 22km (Penang Bridge Run 2007) in just little bit over 3hrs.

22km. That's the distance I'll try to complete this June. This will be my 3rd half marathon, trying to get the medal for Faith. Esp I've already have 2 - 1 for myself, 1 for HH.

Been training for the past 1 month plus. currently doing abt 3km each run, hope fully pushing it to 5km in a month's time. Will be joining with another friend who just got married last weekend.

Kinda scary/tense if i will be able to complete the run in time (below 3hrs); personal best was abt 2.5hr, 3 yrs ago. I was younger then.

For the past 2 weeks +, Faith has been making lots of sounds. esp when we talk to her face to face, as if she's making conversation with us. It's amazing & fun to see her does that. I said see, coz Faith will also make lots of facial expression along.

i've been awe struck ever since the birth of Faith. kept wondering how husband & wife make love then a life is created. that life spend 9 months inside mother's womb then out she comes. just 2 tiny little cells at first & a child after 9months.

yesterday evening, we tried to bring faith to the garden. we had to cancelled twice. very funny.

1st cancellation due to faith has poo-pooed, big time.
2nd cancellation due to she has wee-weed. we got her changed & she fell asleep, funny little girl.

this morning, we took faith to do a blood test. then we went for breakfast & she was sleeping all the time. yes even during the blood taking session at the hospital. Faith woke up after we finished our breakfast and it's due to diaper full & hunger.

it was fun taking her out. i wonder why some parents complain they can't go anywhere once they have babies?

watching Faith sleep has become one of my fav past time. she makes so many faces during her sleeps, makes me wonder what's going on in her head.

at times, she stirs then falls back to sleep. if she doesn't, probably her nappy is wet or hungry.

Faith is a funny little girl. We found out she always cry a bit just b4 she wee wee or poo poo. Which is good, we know when she wants to do her business. Problem is we'll have to go thru a checklist:

does she wans wee wee?
does she wans poo poo?
diaper change?
hungry?
wanna be carry?

PTL, Faith only feeds once in the middle of night!! and we get more sleep :) what a good girl she is!!

Faith loves to sleep. probably all new borns are like that. She has lot of styles, here are some. Her fav is sleeping with arms wide open. Baby Faith makes lots of faces during her sleeps ie smiling, frowning, ultra small mouth etc... at times we wonder what's she's thinking or dreaming to make all those faces?

Yesterday HH gave birth to our beautiful daughter!! Praise the LORD!! She's Faith Lam Zi Xin, weighting at 3.8kg. Yes, quite a big one but she still seems so small & fragile. HH has a c-section due to Faith is overdue & cervix didnt dilate enough. But HH is recovering fine & Faith is doing well, thanks to all your prayers!!

HH just called me after her supposely last check up. Apparently our child is all cozy & happy inside HH's womb. Nothing is happening, water is still as good as before, placenta still good condition & baby is still growing!!

Now doc mention abt inducing labor, we are not sure abt this. of course we want natural lah but we hv only 10 extra days to wait. How?

We are all excited! Kept wondering when exactly will our child comes out... yesterday? today? tomorrow? on time -->11 Jan?

After all the months of waiting, praying, feeling our child's movements.... i am getting nervous. will i be a good papa? cool one? strict one? fun one? selamba one?

It was a mess 3 months ago - almost like a store room. But now, looks like it's just waiting for its new master.

This was my bed, 29 years ago. After 6 weekends, sand papering & few coats of new paints, it's now our child's bed. Well, except it's still waiting for the matteress.

Well, it's just one more month to go. At last we are in the final stretch. Msytery is still there, gender of our child is still unknown to us. So do us a favor, stop asking! Be patient, wait for one more month. Thank you.

Oh, as for our child's name. We already have them. Yes, one for boy & one for girl. And don't ask us, wait for another month. Thank you.

Baby's bed has arrived since last Thursday. It was my bed. It was also bed to my 7 cousins & 1 niece. So my child will the 10th user of this baby bed.

this is a photo of our baby at 5 months old. we saw baby moved legs while doing the scan, so exciting!!! well, we still don't know gender of baby yet. right now, i think will be girl while HH thinks will be boy. in case you wanna bet which gender, doctor thinks i'll win. oh, it's doesn't matter if it'll be boy or girl, we still love he/she!!

during the check-up last month, we saw baby's heart beating. doc showed us the 4 chambers of baby's heart beating fast!! also showed us baby's bladder with some water as indication of kidneys' working fine, stomach also have liquid showing baby can swallow things.

Baby has been very active lately. i can feel his/her movement almost everyday when i put my hand on HH's tummy. of course HH can feel the movements daily, sometimes there's little bum on her tummy, sometime can actually see the movement at tummy!

baby is also very good, why? usually baby is a bit active at nite just before we go to sleep, but when we tell baby that we are about to go to sleep, baby will also slow down & not much movement. such a good baby.

actually we already have some names, just that we still don't know the baby's gender. so right now, we refer as baby lor.

Had a great time last sunday evening. Not because I took part in the EPCC family games, but because we managed to let someone enjoy the beach.

it was EPCC family day - outing to beach. My CG decided to bring our friend, Soo How who has been in the hospital for the past 4 months to join us on his wheelchair. He really enjoyed himself, he has not been to the beach for more than 10years. incidently, he has not been able to sit or bend his hips for the past 10 years. Not until he did his surgery 4 months ago, his surgery was totally free thanks to Penang Adventist Hospital. Oh, he is from the hardcore poor group, so much so that hospital ward is like a 5 star hotel room to him.

it really made my day to know Soo how enjoyed the trip although we had some tough time putting him in & getting him out of the car. it's just great!

Thanks so much God for letting me enjoy the simple pleasures of life!

this morning we had the regular doc visit for Hsien Hui. Praise God, all is well. And our little one is really growing! the last scan, baby was only 6cm. today, baby is at 12cm long! it's so exciting! i heard the heart beat for the first time, beats so fast! my heart almost wanted to follow to the same tempo....

What's 105?

My wife was admitted to a private hospital last friday after realized she's bleeding. You see she was confirmed pregnant 6 weeks. Of course we were worried. But all is fine now, my wife & the baby in her.

So she was in the hospital for 3 days of observations. She ate & slept. By the time to discharge, we are not sure how much is the bill. When the cashier told us to pay RM1.05 for the bill, we were utterly shocked! yes it's ONE ringgit & 5 cents for everything - doctor's fees, room, medicine.

God is really awesome! Thanks to HIM all is fine. I truly believe that when God bless us with the baby, HE also settle the bills that comes with baby. It's like HE assuring us that HE is in FULL CONTROL of everything in our lives. it's not going to be easy to be parents but with God by our side, we are not worried. In HIM we found peace & rest.

Thank you God for the baby & Your supplies that come with the baby.

We were in Seremban last weekend. Was a long weekend & happened to be Mother's day sunday. Finally we bought family dinner over the weekend. Was glad that i can do that, to buy dinner.

couple of hours before dinner, i caught my parents sitting outside at the driveway. And this was what they were doing.... capture in photo.

They might not be the riches/happiest couple in the world but they did help each other out. Mum's not that strong & mobile since her mild stroke, which happened almost a year ago, dad offered to cut her toe nails. it was really touching scene for HH & I. Thank you God for showing me they still love each other. Thank you Jesus.

last i know, i was still in austria. but that was almost 3 weeks ago!!

work has been fine & still so much to learn. relatively speaking my workload is still lighter to my colleagues. Thank God for that, really. since i live in PG island, i travel daily so i tried to leave work on time, which so far so good.

Just wanna thank HIM up there for this job. it's really a blessing to me, first job got to go overseas training. where to find??

well, it's long weekend again. balik kampung, visit parents mah. Have not seen them for more than 5 months already. kinda missed them.

4 months in europe taught me at least one thing: NOTHING is more important than family & friends. don't believe me? listen to this: have you ever know or hear a person that's dying asking about how the stock market/the shares are doing? No right?! They ask about their wife, sons, daughters, family.

Go tell your family members or friends how much you love/appreciate them. God bless all of us.

End of tour

In less than 40 hours my current tour will come to an end. It has been a wonderful journey. Learn so much then found out that I knew so little.... Ironic.

3.5 books in 4 months opened my eyes & heart. yes, i'm still trying to finish the last 0.5 book. Thank God for books. Thru them, I come to know more abt grace, social cause, fictions, HIS truth......

at time i felt that books can relate more than the pulpit. u can pause or stop the person on the pulpit unless it's a recorded version. with books, i can do it. whenever i come across some sections that's deep, i'll stop reading & ponder over the thoughts arise from those sections. u know, give myself time to digest the writings, make sense of it. But of course I don't do it with all books, at least not with my favourite sci-fic books.

u could say i went to the land of giants. austria, like most developed countries, is like a giant in many ways compared to m'sia. not to put down m'sia, but i'm sure we hv lots to learn & improve in so many ways. for one, drivers' attitude. I must confess, i'm a bit afraid cross the road in m'sia when i get back home. here, i could close my eyes & cross the road at a zebra crossing without checking if there are cars coming.

but then there are areas that they are not so giant, i.e. cannot eat hot stuffs like chilli, not to mention chili padi!

Looking at it now, i realized God must be really creative to made all of us so alike yet so different. Yes, my God is a creative God. I could live with that.

My first post from Germany. Might be last one from Germany.

8 is the number of days left before I board the plane which will take me home to my beautiful wife.

Can't wait. Enough of winter & snow for awhile. Thank God this trip is coming to an end. Has been a wonderful & discovering journey personally for myself & for both of us (my wife & I). 4 months' of experience seems like years for us, sure it's an intensive learning journey with HIM.

Next stop will be Regensburg, Germany. A train ride of 6 hrs + a change of train and I will be in Regensburg, where I'll spend 10days.

Hopefully, weather will be fine - no floods or freak tornado.

Thank God that my colleague has a car, which means no need to take bus all the time - not that the public transport is like M'sia's. You know this timing of this trip is just right. Why? Course all other colleagues that stayed at my area have gone back to M'sia. Yes, I'm alone now, the only M'sian in 1km square. Nearest colleague is 20mins of walk away. So this trip will help me not to dewell in the thoughts that everyone is in M'sia but me.... :(

Change of environment will do good to me, I know. and HE knew about it, there for the late trip to Germany. Thank you Jesus! Perfect planner.

Small part of a book I read said 'You can audition your plants in the garden'. I was duh?? Audition the plants? How? What for? Apparently, audition your plants means 1st you are not sure if they will look good in in a certain part of you garden. So, you try plant them at spot 1 then at spot 2 and spot 3 (maybe). Then you decide if spot 1, 2 or 3 gives the best looking garden you'll have. What a way to spend your time.....

Then I wonder if God also audition us..... Or are we the one that audition God? See if He fits in situation A or B best huh?

tomorrow is my sister-in-law's wedding. She's the eldest of the family. all of us are very happy about tomorrow. i bet she is very excited & nervous. unfortunately, i won't be there to be a witness & bless her marriage.

She has been a blessings to us in many ways. Supported us in our plans to get married early, loan us her car for few years already.

I pray that God will be the center of their marriage.

yesterday, my colleague told me that it was average of 15-20C last year in the same week as this week. but this year it's 0-5C, that's a huge difference!! i wish last year temperature is the same now.....

ever since i got here in austria, the weather website is one of the sites i visit every single day, sometimes few times a day. and most anticipated part of the evening news on tv is the weather report. kinda sad huh? no lar, it's interesting to know & watch how the weather is influence by the condition many many miles away, over few days.

if u think changes are bad. u are so wrong!! Take a look at the pics. 22 Jan 2006 is the coldest day of my stay in Austria and the recent condition as on 16 Feb 2006. Difference of 18 degress during day & 20 degrees during night!!

all the m'sian trainees are so happy abt the higher temperature, even the Austrians welcome the change.

Names.... names for everythings that we can ever thought of. some of us like our names, some dont like it so much, some even give ourselves new names.... one thing for sure, u got to live up to ur name.

Jars of Clay. i know there's a band with the same name, so? Just like there are millions of Johns.
Jars of Clay or JoC, is my CG's new name, we multiplied last Dec & wasnt decided on the name until after CNY. Yes, took us quite a long time. But name is important, give us identity, purpose etc...

So, with God's guidance, we in JoC will be living up to our CG name. JoC - tools for God's kingdom & purposes.

today is valentine's day. guess what happen at my work place?

the canteen man is giving a stalk of tulip to all the female workers in my work place. he stands at the top of the staircase, with the all the tulips by his side and giving them to all ladies that come to canteen for lunch. how nice.

but what abt men? men get nothing but lunch. it's ok, i've got my flowers from HH last week. it's more than enough for me.

That's right! spring is coming to Austria, at least that's what my landlady said. The weather does seems milder & warmer lately.

And that's the flowers I picked right outside my house. No lar.... Those were tulips HH bought for me for valentine's day. heheee..... yes, I didnt get her any flowers but she did. kinda funny to receive flowers, let alone it's my first time getting flowers. HH also get me a new sweater & gloves. as for me, I didnt prepare for it at all! so bad lah, me.... Did manage to ask her to get something, u can ask her what she get for herself on my behalf.... something that's famous from austria.

This was taken in the toilet of my place. Yes, no joke. The toilet seat cannot be lift up permenantly. you have to hold the seat up with one hand and pee with another free hand and it's not easy. trust me, i've tried it & has long given up trying. so, to save energy you pee sitting down - just as the instructed by the picture.

They even tell guys how to do it right.... so wifes, if u dunno any more problems with the toilet seat, i suggest you go look for a similar toilet seat design & train your husband to pee sitting down.

We just got back from Vienna yesterday nite. Vienna was bigger than Salzburg, just as nice. unfortunately it was windy so it was cold. But it snowed on sat evening & nite, HH & I managed to walk in the snow aka winter sonata style. hehee.... no need to go to korea lor... apparently there is a cemetery in Vienna which has a 'population' of 2.5million. no much? Vienna only has a population of 1.5million. in that cemetery, they hv mozart, strauss... bodies. nope, we didnt go there. too bad, or i could hv show u where is the grave of mozart since 2006 is his 250th birthday.

Salzburg is wonderful

HH has arrived for more than 2 weeks. it's great to hv her here with me. During CNY eve, we were in Salzburg. we stayed at a family run guesthouse (below center), it's nice & cozy & it's in the center of the old town - everything is within walking distance. it's just great to spend time with HH. we did all the tourisy stuffs, posing, buying souvenirs, etc... HH even took a photo with the local policemen (photo in HH's blog aka chincau). bottom photo(below) was taken in a church during the tour. photo below is the skeleton Mozart at a rock concert, rock on Mozart...

we also went for a Sound of Music tour, have to lah. HH is a big fan of that musical. good tour, worth the money. God is really good, there were only 2 of us on that tour. so, it's like our very own private tour. thank you God!

like a dream

Have you ever get something or in some situation you thought you got to be dreaming that it's real? I'm in that condition now.

HH has arrived in Austria yesterday! I can't help feeling it's like a dream, thank God it's not a dream. It's real! She's here in Austria, after weeks of planning & waiting. Has been keep looking at her last night....

In deed it's by God's grace & blessing that HH is here with me. yes it's kinda like our 2nd honeymoon. Our actual honeymoon was budgeted, in M'sia East Coast. Our Daddy in Heaven is so generous that He blesses us this trip.

It's been HH's dream to go to the land of Sound of Music. The dream has come true. God really knows the desire of your heart, and He will bring them to reality according to His will.

U might think that I'm so loaded to fly HH over to Austria. Let me tell u this: Yes I am, all because of my Daddy in Heaven, He is rich beyond imaginations. BTW, He also owns everything on earth. and He loves all His children. He gives the best to His children.

This is WWYC's CG family photo. Oh yes, we went to a photo studio to have it taken. BTW, the photo shot package was a lucky draw prize. How we got the prize? oh, my wife is an event organiser. Her hospital held this charity concert to raise funds, so my CG decided to support the cause & bought almost 15-20 tickets. Mind you, it was not fixed! The draw was done by somebody else.

Since this photo was taken, WWYC has multiplied to 2 new CGs. Before multiplication, CG membership was around 25 ppl. Barely a month after that, there is some news of new people want to join the 2 CGs. PTL!!

I was really blessed to be in WWYC & i personally think that WWYC is already in the history book of EPCC. Oh, WWYC stands for Without Walls Young Christians. frankly, the CG members has been to Silk Road, Shanghai, Germany, Cambodia, Sarawak, Cameron, Ulu Kinta etc for work, for missions. It was really without walls.

I pray & hope the 2 new CGs will continue to have the same charateristic of WWYC. And I thank God for His blessings & guidances for WWYC & the 2 CGs.

the waiting game is hard to play. been waiting for many things.... wait for 12th birthday to get IC, wait for 16th to apply motorcycle lience, wait for PMR results, wait for SPM results, wait for STPM results, wait for uni acceptance letter, wait for graduations... wait for 1st pay...

now i'm waiting for my wife to come to austria. yes! she's coming in less than 11 days. yahoo!!! can't wait lah..... been away from my pretty wife for a month plus already. hey, u got to understand this we got married in June 2005 & i left to Austria in Dec 2005.

been planning & coordinating with HH for few weeks, to get things arranged. air tickets, money, clothes etc.... soon all the hard work & discouragement will pay off.

lately mr SATAN has been trying to distracting me... with issues here in austria & in m'sia. Thank God for His timely reminder to me abt things are in His control. Just got to keep my focus on Him & trusting Him. Amen!

It’s the end of 2005. My resolution for 2005 was make no resolution, kind silly I know. But I really didn’t make any. I have plans though, few of them.

1. Finished studies & graduated before getting married. Done
2. Get married June 2005. Done
3. Get a job after married. Done
4. Be His joy & testimony. Not done but on going
5. Get close to God. On going

Looking back now, 2005 was a great year to me. Really a year of restoration. So many things had happened & it all seems dreamlike. Thank God it’s not a dream or I wouldn’t be married to my wonderful pretty wife.

1. I had a slow start on my studies but praise God that I made good progress along the way. It was tough, working late nights or really early mornings. No experiments have to be repeated, viva was not as tough as it sounded.

2. Getting married was exciting & challenging to both of us. I’m still studying, so no big fat bank account. But we have a great Father in Heaven. He really settled everything for us, i.e. family & friends that helped with $$ & time, hotel bookings. Had a hiccup though, my mom had a minor stroke just few weeks b4 our wedding. But God is good, she recovered in time to attend wedding too!

3. I was part time working & a full time house-husband for almost 5 months. It was great time to be able to cook & clean for my wife. Try it husbands, your wife will love u extra more! That was a time of waiting upon God, not rushing into the job market. HE actually asked me to wait and I tell you it wasn’t easy to just wait like that. Praise God for He is just so good…. He gave me a wonderful job. A position with a foreign start up company – Infineon Kulim. Now I’m doing on the job training in Austria & Germany for 3.5 months. Hey there are not many chances one get to join a start up company, so they said.

4. Because of the job, HH & I will have our 2nd honeymoon around end of Jan 2006 within a year. Good eh? I tell you, His plans are so much better than anything.

5. HH & I prayed that HE’ll use us as His testimony to other people after we married. A reporter friend asked us to help with an article, we said yes and we came out in a local newspaper! Whole Malaysia read about it, long lost friends contacted us…. We were so glad & happy when there were others told us we were encouraging them.

6. Being closed to God allows me to be used by Him to minister to others, able to know little part of His plans for us. It was so fulfilling to be a tool for the Almighty God.

As for 2006, I’m not worried about it. For God has been there, He knows what’s in store. He is my source of insider news/tips about 2006. I know if I get close to Him, He will reveal what’s in store in 2006. 2006 is going to be great, greater than 2005. Don’t miss out on His plans for you in 2006. I heard it’s going to be abundance & completeness.

That’s the question I’m asking myself. Wat’s that about? The car pool matter. I’ve been looking for ride to work & back from work for almost a week. Since I’m the odd one out in the area I’m staying. Kinda hard to join any car pool group.

But God is great, everyday I can go to work & back from work. Just got to make few phone calls. As of now, I’ll be going to work with another guy near my place until next month. Then I should be in a car pool group. So, this month I can save my transport allowance. Also sorted out about transport for next month too. God has prepared few good guys staying around my place as my transport helps. They are really good, giving some tips here & there (they’ve been here for at least 4 months). And my only housemate, he’s good too. Very ‘cincai’ and he stays at Hamna, Penang too!

At 1st I was worried, u know new to a foreign place. Don’t know how to get around, etc… but I remember James 1:2-5. So I just keep praying everyday lah, trusting HIM to ‘kau tim’ everything for me – since HE is the one who brought me here.

So from today onwards, I will see it as a challenge. Not for me alone to face but with the Almighty God. And not challenge is too big for HIM, AMEN!!
